1. Overview
GPS Map Camera (also called GeoFrame) is a camera app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and a Teams web app at gps.appsinfoway.com, made by AppsInfoway ("we", "us"). The app stamps your photos and videos with GPS coordinates, address, a map, date and time. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
In short: your photos stay on your device unless you choose to share them, back them up, or add them to a Team project. We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information we collect
Location
With your permission ("while using the app" only — never in the background), the app reads your device's location to stamp coordinates, address and a map onto your photos. To turn coordinates into an address, show a map and add weather, your location is sent to these services:
- iPhone/iPad: Apple (address lookup, Apple Maps, WeatherKit).
- Android: Google (address lookup, Google Maps and static maps), Open-Meteo (weather) and OpenStreetMap (map images).
We do not receive your location on our servers, except for photos you add to a Team project (see below). Location-based reminders (for example "take a photo when you arrive") run on your device only.
Photos and videos
Photos and videos are stored on your device. They leave your device only when you choose to:
- share them, export a PDF report, or save them to your photo library;
- back them up to your own Google Drive (iPhone/iPad, optional) — the backup includes your photos, videos, their locations and addresses, and app settings, and is stored in a private app folder of your Drive account;
- add them to a Team project — the photo or video, a thumbnail, its coordinates, address, date and time, and the name of the person who took it are uploaded to our servers so your team can see them.
If you choose a company logo or profile picture, the app reads that image from your photo library.
App and device information
When you first open the app it creates a random anonymous ID. We use it to link your purchases, settings, support requests and notifications without needing your name or email. With it we may receive your app version, device model, operating system version, language, region, time zone and, if you allow notifications, a push notification token.
Usage and crash data
- Usage analytics: which features you use (for example taking a photo, opening the paywall, exporting a PDF). These events do not include your location or photos. We use Google Firebase Analytics and our own analytics. You can turn analytics off in Settings → Privacy.
- Crash reports: technical details when the app crashes, through Firebase Crashlytics.
- Advertising measurement (iPhone/iPad): the app uses Meta (Facebook) App Events to measure which advertising campaigns bring people to the app, including app usage events and purchase events (price and currency). The advertising identifier (IDFA) is only used if you allow tracking when the app asks; you can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details. We receive transaction information — product, price, currency, store country, purchase and renewal dates, and subscription status — to unlock GeoFrame Pro or Lifetime and to manage subscriptions. We use RevenueCat to help track purchases, linked to your anonymous ID.
Team accounts
If you create or join a Team, we collect your email address, display name and optional profile picture and company details (name, address, website, contact). You can sign in with email and password (stored only as a secure hash), with Apple, with Google, or with a passkey. We also store the teams, members, roles and projects you create.
Support requests
When you contact us from the app, we receive your message, your name and email if you provide them, and your app version, device model, operating system, language and country, so we can help.
Surveys
If you answer an in-app survey, we store your answers with your anonymous ID.
Our website
This website (geoframe.appsinfoway.com) uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and store buttons people use. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (city level), the pages you view and the site that referred you. We do not use it for advertising, ad personalisation or Google signals. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you accept them; you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
3. How we use information
- To provide the app: stamping photos, maps, weather, PDF reports, backups and Team sync.
- To process purchases and restore them on your devices.
- To answer support requests.
- To send notifications you have allowed, such as reminders, replies to support requests and, if you have allowed marketing notifications, offers and tips.
- To understand how the app is used, fix crashes and improve features.
- To measure our advertising (iPhone/iPad), as described above.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to meet legal obligations.
Some notification text may be drafted with the help of an AI service. It receives only general information such as the app language and the offer being promoted — never your identity, photos or location.
5. Your choices
- Location, camera, microphone, photos, notifications: you can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Analytics and marketing notifications: Settings → Privacy in the app.
- Tracking (iPhone/iPad): iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Google Drive backup: turn off in the app, and delete the backup from your Google Drive.
- Local data: Settings → Clear all data removes the photos and settings stored by the app on your device.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the app and for legitimate business and legal purposes (for example purchase records). Team content is kept while the Team exists.
You can delete the data linked to your anonymous ID in the app (Settings → Privacy → Delete my data) and your Team account in Settings. See Delete your data for every option and what is kept. To delete your Team account, your Team content, or the data linked to your anonymous ID by email, write to us at [email protected] from the email address on your account (or include the support ticket number shown in the app). We will confirm and complete the request within 30 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only as secure hashes, and limit access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country, including in India, the United States and the European Union. We rely on our providers' safeguards for these transfers.
10. Children
GPS Map Camera is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
